ON behalf of the trustees may I say how very grateful we are to Steve High and Steve Cass of Bar Bamboo for including us as one of the four charities to benefit from their magnificent and successful event in Cripplegate Park on August 28 and 29.
I was overwhelmed to be handed a donation of £800 which will be a wonderful help towards meeting our annual costs in sending out more than 250 cassette tapes of local news every single week of the year plus our Talking Books service.
All this is done entirely by unpaid volunteers who gladly give their time.
