MEMBERS of the RBL and Astwood Bank Club organised a successful flower show recently.
There were many high class exhibits judged by Mrs Rhonda Strong and winners included Mr Dyson with two cups, Mr J Rogers and Jack Bayliss.
The bottle and cake stalls together with the tombola and grand draw did well and with the money raised from the sale of produce auctioned by Mr N Bayliss added more than £700 for the work of the Friends of the Royal British Legion, whose area covers Astwood Bank, Crabbs Cross, Hunt End and parts of Oakenshaw.
A big thank you to everyone involved in the hard work organising this event.
