THE South Warwickshire Association were winners of this year's Four Associations tournament at Handworth Wood BC in Birmingham.

Facing the challenge of their counterparts from Birmingham, Rugby and Coventry, the SWBA squad emerged triumphant.

Two days later, a South Warw-ickshire squad lost out by eight shots to a Welsh Tourists team at Stratford.

The hosts led after five, ten and 15 ends only to lose the match 116-108 with the highest winning rink skipped by Colin Such and comprising Wilf Watkins, Tony Laurens and Roy Harris. George Smith was the other successful skip.

l FINALS day at Pershore saw Roger Camage crowned men's champion and Sandie Flood take the ladies honours.
