THE first evening at the new venue, St Elizabeth's Church hall, saw Nigel Wilkins and Steve Clifton win for the third consecutive week in north-south position, with 62 per cent. Second were Terry Lucey and Doreen Round with 59 per cent.
East-west winners were Gerald and Joy Link with 62 per cent, with Norman and Jo Hall second with 55 per cent.
In August Mr Wilkins and Mr Clifton won a Howell movement with 56 per cent, Philip Morgan and Wendy Duley coming second with 55 per cent.
A Mitchell movement over six tables the following week saw the Wilkins/Clifton duo win north-south on 66 per cent, Mr Morgan and Ms Duley second with 61 per cent.
Charles and Vera Smith won east-west on 58 per cent, Julian Taylor and Ella Batton being second with 52 per cent.
