BIG entries of cattle, sheep and horses from over a wide area combined with a dry day helped make the Vale of Evesham Autumn Show a big success.

"In fact I think it was out best show ever," said show chairman Tony Bomford. "That was certainly the case from the number of compliments we had."

He added: "It all went very well."

The mayor of Evesham, Councillor Frances Smith, who presented a number of awards in the livestock classes, said: "I very much enjoyed the day. I thought the standard of the stock entered was very high and a credit to the exhibitors."
