I THINK MHDC has lost touch with reality. The closure of vital toilets in the town will cause much inconvenience for residents, shoppers and visitors. Especially at risk are people on diuretic drugs. The shops are bound to suffer.

The Victoria Road car park toilet is always busy and useful for people returning to Malvern late evening. It is an important facility for one of Malvern's major car parks.

People's needs are not for posh facilities but for the convenience of a facility. If we do now have to act like a Third World country, then we should accept that and not pretend to be affluent by wasting money on sophisticated facilities, which are only used for minutes.

A further danger is that many individuals who have diuretic problems will ignore the medical advice that everyone should drink three and a half pints of water a day, which is likely to cause an increase in illness.

We must get this ridiculous toilet closure plan overturned without delay.
