IT was a game of two halves - a clich but never more true than this Worcester Sunday Division Two encounter at Dysons.

ANCHOR FALCONS 2, NORTHWICK VALE 3

Anchor Falcons raced into an early 2-0 lead and appeared well on course for three points at half-time.

A second-half collapse ended that hope and they fell to a late winner for Vale when the game should have been out of the visitors' reach by then.

Paul Park struck first for the home side with a brilliantly struck 25-yard free-kick, then Mike Griffin grabbed the second when he drilled the ball into the roof of the net at the far post.

It was going very well for the home side and they could have increased their lead but for some good goalkeeping.

Having got back in the game early in the second half with a free-kick, which gave Marcus Henney no chance, Vale proceeded to look far the brighter team, winning tackles and dominating most areas of the pitch

It was no surprise when the visitors pulled level midway through the half.

The Falcons found it hard to get any rhythm, with few attempts of target, and in the closing stages Vale grabbed the winner following a speculative ball over the defence, which presented their striker a close range tap-in.

A disappointing result again but an improvement on the previous week, with encouraging performances from joint players of the match, Paul Park, Steve Edkins and Mike Griffin.

This Sunday, the Falcons are at home again against Ronkswood Sports, meet Dysons, 9.45am.
