THE churches of Berrow with Pendock, Eldersfield, Hollybush and Birtsmorton invite you to the Berrow benefice fun ride at Rye Court, Berrow, on Sunday.

It is signed from the A438 Tewkesbury/Ledbury Road and the B4208 and is by kind permission of Mr J George, the National Trust, Bromsberrow Estate, Eastnor Castle Estate and the landowners over whose property this ride will take place.

The ride will start and finish at Rye Cross and take place over some of the most beautiful countryside in the country, including Castlemorton Common and parts of the Malvern Hills not normally available to horses.

The route will pass the Farmers Arms, Birtsmorton, where riders will be made very welcome. Due to the sensitive nature of some of the ground covered, there will be a wet weather alternative. Starting at 10am, last horse 2pm. Suitable for all types of horse/pony. Optional jumps. All entries on the day. Adults £15, children (16 and under) £8.

Help is needed on the day, marshalls etc. If you can manage even half a day, phone Jenny Sumner, on (01684) 833222.

We are holding an auction of promises in November to raise much needed funds for our church. If you have any items, unwanted goods or promises you would like to pledge, we would be most grateful (the more unusual items also accepted). Thanking you in anticipation, please call me on (01684) 833287.

Our joint harvest supper with Hollybush will be once again held at the Farmers Arms, Birtsmorton, very kindly by Jill and Julie Moore. This will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 7-7.30pm. To be followed by an auction of goods and produce. As last year, please phone to book your meal as places are limited. Phone Farmers Arms on 833308 or Jenny 933222.
