REDDITCH MP Jacqui Smith is donning her cap and gown to pick up an honorary Masters degree at Worcester University.
Schools Minister Ms Smith will attend the prestigious award ceremony at the university on Friday.
Since becoming an MP, former Arrow Vale Community High School teacher Ms Smith has held a number of high profile Government posts.
Worcester University vice-chancellor, Prof David Green, said: "Ms Smith has played an active role in the county's affairs for many years, from her time as a teacher through to her work as Redditch MP."
