BUDDING volunteers can find out more about lending a helping hand at Make a Difference Day this Saturday.
Redditch MP Jacqui Smith is hosting the event to promote the work of the voluntary sector at the town hall in Alcester Street.
The event will coincide with the national Community Service Volunteers (CSV) Make a Difference Day, which aims to encourage people to donate their time instead of their cash.
In the morning, voluntary organisations, charities and sports groups are invited along to listen to various presentations from funding and support bodies such as the Big Lottery Fund.
Then from 1-3.45pm, anyone interested in becoming a volunteer can find out more from the wide range of represented charities.
