BOOTYLICIOUS babes are being urged to shake their stuff at a new belly dancing class.

Georgia Finocchario is launching a class in the traditional Middle Eastern dance at Winyates Green Community Centre, starting next Saturday, November 12.

The 37-year-old mother of one became proficient in the dance after taking lessons with an Egyptian teacher a few years ago.

"I used to be an aerobics instructor but then I learnt to belly dance and do that instead now," said Mrs Finocchario, a full-time teacher of English to non-English speakers.

She has already been teaching a class at Studley Gym and has performed at Astwood Bank Carnival and the Arts in Redditch Festival.

She is now looking forward to the launch of the Furze Lane centre class, which will run every Saturday between 10.30-11.30am and is suitable for women of all ages and levels of fitness.

"The great thing about belly dancing is that it can be adapted to suit all levels of physical fitness. The more advanced members on the class can work on faster moves while the others concentrate on the basics," she said.

Mrs Finocchario, of Berrington Close, Ipsley, said budding dancers do not need any special equipment.

"I recommend wearing loose clothing. Often, after a few sessions women decide to wear something that jangles, like a scarf with coins on around their waist."

She added: "Not only does it provide a great workout it is also great fun to watch and perform."
