SWIMMING: Redditch Swimming Club's girls took on Halesowen, Droitwich and Orion in the club's own gala.
In a close fought contest Redditch took first place in 14 of the events with double victories going to Jessica Nice, Lucy Knibbs and Danielle Harwood. There were also individual firsts for Amy Foster, Hannah Rolls, Emma Green, Emma Hardacre and Michaela Britt and the relay squads added three more.
The team also scored 17 second places and these meant Redditch were always in the hunt.
After the first quarter of the competition Redditch were in front, just ahead of Halesowen. However, Halesowen just pulled ahead and even four wins in a row towards the end couldn't make up the deficit.
But this was a good team performance and everyone swam well.
Final Positions: Halesowen 142, Redditch 134, Orion 103, Droitwich 84.
