REDDITCH United manager Rod Brown is calling for more of the same from his players as they prepare to take on Stalybridge Celtic at the Valley Stadium on Saturday.

Reds eased to a 3-1 win at Hyde United last weekend - only their third victory of the season - but the boss wants another match-winning display.

"We have been here before," Brown explained. "We beat Droylesden 4-1 and everything looked well but we then lost the next game.

"The players know there will be further changes so they're playing for their future at the moment."

Saturday's win hoisted Reds away from the relegation zone but Brown knows the real test will come in the next two games - back-to-back home matches with Stalybridge and county rivals Worcester City on Tuesday.

"We are expecting to have international clearance for Mike Feely in time for Saturday's game so I hope to include him in the squad," Brown added.

"We also have the chance to talk to John Snape at Moor Green and Bromsgrove's Wayne Dyer so we will see where that leads us."

Reds fielded new signings Scott Dann and Jermaine Clarke for the trip to Hyde and the pair inspired United to their first league win in five games.

"It think it was well earned," the manager added.

"We introduced two new players and both were a different class.

"Jermaine Clarke had one of those debuts where he just couldn't do anything wrong - he caused them so many problems up front.

"And Scott Dann looked a class player, head and shoulders above everyone. They both had a massive influence.

"Craig Wilding is suddenly playing with a bit of confidence. He's now scored a goal a game in the last three and I think his goal gave everybody a lift. It's the kind of spark we've been waiting for.

"The work ethic was there - we've worked hard on that - and we've produced the goods."
