MEMBERS of Broadway's Roman Catholic Church have welcomed a new priest following the departure of Father Richard.
Father Peter Rogers has moved to St Saviour's Church from Evesham, so is already familiar with the area.
At the age of 76 he says he is looking forward to working in a smaller parish, but has no intention of giving up work completely.
Born in London, Father Rogers spent most of his early life in Birmingham and since ordination has worked in inner city and country parishes.
He said: "I'm looking forward to taking it easier than before, but so long as you can keep active keep going I say."
Father Rogers' place in Evesham has been taken by Father Christopher Draycott.
Father Richard has moved to Alcester replacing Father Boniface.
