THE winter season of golf at The Worcestershire GC began with a four-ball alliance stableford, with one gents and one ladies score to count.
A wet beginning to the day saw only 12 teams make the start. They were rewarded with a dry mild finish to their round.
Playing of handicap just two teams recorded scores under par. Runners-up with 74 points were Laurie and Janet Long with Mel and Lisa Stocker. Clear winners recording five birdies along the way with 80 points were Paul and Diane Meakin with Andy Greene and April Wilding.
