ROY Rencher is hoping for a change in fortune as he aims for his first win as Stourport Swifts manager.

Rencher, currently rebuilding the Swifts squad, has picked up just one Southern League Division One West point since taking over at Walshes Meadow.

And Swifts conceded two late goals in last Saturday's 3-1 defeat at leaders Clevedon Town after being 1-0 up.

Rencher had even nipped for a comfort break, believing his players had earned a point.

He said: "To be honest, it's just not going for us. We are shooting ourselves in the foot.

"We got ourselves into a really good position at 1-0 after an hour, then the goalkeeper cleared it straight to their striker.

"I went to the toilet at 4.45pm, I came back and they (Clevedon) scored another goal. I was all ready to congratulate the lads."

However, the new manager is pleased with the progress being made and was delighted with the performance of back-three Rory McFarlane, Paul Hatton and Ben Paszkowec.

"There's not a lot wrong, we just need to stop making juvenile mistakes," he added. "It's schoolboy stuff really.

"We are just all gutted at the moment because we can't get a win. Everything is going well and the camp is up."

Rencher hopes to persuade Ross Collins to join from Bromsgrove Rovers in time for tomorrow's must-win home match against Rushall Olympic (3pm).

Midfielder Ronnie Sayer is fit to play.
