I am pleased to report the current land speed record has been broken in Malvern!
I would like to personally meet and congratulate the driver who broke this record outside my house on Worcester Road.
The council highways agency and police should also be thanked for supporting this attempt. The lack of speed cameras and the traffic light configuration along Worcester Road works in favour of excessively speeding drivers.
I fear it is only a matter of time before someone is seriously injured, or worse, along the stretch of road between Link Top traffic lights and Great Malvern.
I would urge the authorities to consider the use of traffic calming measures in this area.
