THE regular Sunday Open at Manor Farm Leisure saw 37 anglers on the bank at the Harvington venue.

Several newcomers used the event as a practice for this weekend's West Mid-lands Winter League but it was George Avery who showed true class to outgun a strong field.

The Alcester Sports ace fished pellet on six-metre pole to net commons, mirror and F1s up to two pounds.

Steve Seabourne, using the same method, and bait was a close second ahead of teammate and venue first-timer Rich Hoskins.

Evesham Youth AC

IT'S the second round of the Rob Tingle Series on Sunday.

The venue is the Worcester Canal at Lansdown Bridge where the draw takes place at 9am with fishing for three hours from 10.15am.

THE last round of the Autumn Series was fished on Ash Pool at Manor Farm where Phil Preston won with small carp on the pole and pinkies for 30.2.0.

Mart Woods was runner-up with 28.0.0 of small carp on the pole, while Nat Prothrough fished the feeder for 20.6.0 of small carp.

Final standings: 52pts Vic Woods; 50 N Prothrough; 38 Phil Preston.
