AS parents living in Woodrow Close, Catshill, we find it hard to understand why parents of the children from neighbouring avenues are allowing their children to congregate each night in our close in the freezing cold.

These children are fighting, smoking and take great joy in jumping on our cars, scratching our cars, breaking into caravans, throwing stones, jumping in and out of trees, climbing gutterings, terrorising our elderly neighbours by knocking on their windows and generally causing a nuisance. This is happening every night.

Speaking from personal experience of this we have paid £100 recently to repair a deep scratch to our car, which was made by a child on their bike riding past it whilst it was parked outside our house.

Please may we take this opportunity to say to the parents of these children who are allowing this behaviour, please if your kids wish to behave like this and you find this behaviour acceptable, then at least them do this in a controlled way.

Please let them bounce on your car, climb on your porch, throw stones by your house and frigthen and shout abuse at any elderly relatives that you might have visting you, but keep them away from our house!
