IT was left to Bewdley Town reserves and youth team to fly the club's flag after the first's impressive start to the West Midlands League premier division season was halted by a water-logged pitch at Heath Hayes.

Sadly, the reserves decent run in West Midlands League Division Two came to an end with a brave 2-0 defeat to table-topping Wulfrunians.

The under-18s youth team were in goalscoring mood as they demolished Darlaston Town 8-1.

Tom Bates opened the scoring from the spot and after Bewdley keeper Andy Lacey saved a penalty, the floodgates opened. Bates scored again with further goals from The goals came from Kurt Fudge, Sam Willey, Ryan Row, Josh Grubb, Luke Woodhouse and Jamie Loveridge.
