Evesham Utd Robins U-12 0,

Evesham Utd B 1

SUNDAY'S clash was closely fought and settled by a solitary strike.

Dan Wilcox almost gave United an early lead but only superb defensive play at the opposite end denied Sam Penfold.

United goalkeeper Tom Bennett produced a fine save and that proved even more crucial when player of the match Joe Iorns popped up in the opposite penalty area to snatch the winner before half-time.

Iorns went on to produce some excellent skills on the right in the second half but there were no further goals with James Hitchman's late left-footer coming closest to increasing the margin of victory.

Evesham Utd U-13 B 6,

Vale Wanderers 0

JAMES Bearcroft converted dir-ectly from a corner to open the scoring in Saturday's Ambassador League Cup tie.

Elliot Grady extended the lead when he ran in and fired home from the edge of the area before making it 3-0 after a cross from Tom Evans.

The latter was again provider as Henry Woods volleyed in a fourth.

While Vale's inspired goalkeeper was doing well to keep the score down, United defenders Wes Bur-den, James Coldrick, Colin Philpot and Owen Jones restricted Vale opportunities with a series of well timed tackles, leaving Leon Ballard will little to do.

The busy Harrison Cother created the fifth when his shot was pushed out to Grady who fired home for his hat-trick. Evans then set up Ivan Masica to find the net from 25 yards to complete the scoring.

Evesham Utd Robins U-9 3,

Welland Jnrs 1

THE Robins emerged worthy winners from Saturday's clash betw-een two unbeaten sides.

Matthew Abbott opened the scoring but the visitors were swiftly back on level terms.

The second half saw Evesham regain the lead when player of the match Abbott netted an excellent second and the completion of his hat-trick ensured the winners stay on top of their division in the Mercian League.

Littleton U-13 0,

Bredon Colts Athletico 4

TWO evenly matched teams cancelled each other out until Alex Fray's superb pass allowed Tom Spiers to break the deadlock just before the break.

That goal appeared to lift the Colts who assumed control after the restart when Spiers made it 2-0 before further goals from Jack Newman and Scott Bunch completed a comfortable victory.

Droitwich Spa 2, Badsey Rgrs 5

BADSEY retained their undefeated record after coming out on top after their toughest test so far.

Matthew Knight opened the scoring and it was 2-0 after 12 minutes when Ryan Attwood also found the net.

It wasn't until the second half that Rangers seemingly settled the destiny of the spoils when Jordan Lymn made it 3-0 only for the hosts to hit back almost immediately.

However, the visitors made sure of the win when Lymn netted his second and Nathan Bolland made it 5-1 as the final whistle approached.

There was still time for plucky Droitwich to score a second but it was the visitors who ran out comfortable victors.

Blockley U-12 2,

Drakes Broughton Rgrs 3

JOE Morrall fired in a spectacular winner with extra-time looming in last weekend's cup tie.

Blockley took the lead but a superb solo effort from Calum Tidy left the sides all-square at half-time.

The Cotswold side again took the lead but Rangers battled back and Daniel Wilcox made it 2-2 with a header from Morrall's corner.

And, it was player of the match Morrall who snatched victory in the closing moments with an 18-yard screamer that flew into the net.

Bredon Colts U-12 4,

Peopleton 1

BREDON produced a superb team display to overcome excellent opposition.

A single goal separated the sides at half-time with Arran Williams breaking the deadlock after Colts were constantly thwarted by dogged defending and fine goalkeeping.

Peopleton levelled after the restart but Bredon regained their first half form to find the net three more times courtesy of Jack Gibbs, who scored twice, and Callum Harwood.
