A BEAUTY therapist who works at a Bewdley clinic got a big surprise when she was asked to do the nails of a Hollywood actress.

Sophie Hancox, who works at Bewdley Beauty Clinic, owned by her mother, Hilary Stephens, was asked to do Gillian Anderson's nails on the set of her new film, Straightheads.

mq The former X-Files star is currently filming scenes in Kinlet for the movie.

Mrs Hancox, who lives in Bridgnorth, said: "It was really good fun. Gillian was nice and friendly. I did her nails for her because she had had some before but they had come off so I had to make them similar to those ones because of continuity."

The 34-year-old, who was joined by her mother, added: "She was having her hair and make-up done at the same time and was pleased with her nails."
