MANOR Park Club player Ryan Hardiman, from Hanley Swan, reached the final of the 10th Christmas Herefordshire & Worcestershire U14 Invitation Indoor Tennis Tournament.

He knocked out top-see Jordan Plant, of Bewdley, in the semi-finals in a closely contested match.

In the semi-finals, Ryan fought back after a first set deficit to take the match 5/7 6/3 6/2 but was unable to match the on-form second seed Jack Kendall, also county junior from Bromsgrove, who took the title with a comprehensive 6/2 6/0 win.

The girls' event was won by Cheshire junior, Camilla Church Davies, from Bramhall, who defeated Manor Park's Lizzie Gorton in the final 6/4 6/0.
