YOUNGSTERS at a Batchley school did their bit for the environment last week thanks to a visitor with a difference.
Redditch Council's Shredder Man was taken to Holyoakes Field First School by waste awareness officer Peter Brown to shred Christmas trees brought in by the pupils.
The visit was part of the Bridge Street school's role as an Eco School to help benefit the environment and teach children about eco-friendly living.
Shredder Man is the council's free woodchipping service, which is funded by Worcestershire County Council and available to all residents in the town.
Anyone with lots of garden waste can book an appointment with Shredder Man on 08456 021939 between 7am and 5pm.
