FAIRFIELD Sports continued their good form to move six points clear at the top of division four of the Birdseye Sports Evesham and District Sunday League.

Goals from Stanley (3), Kay and Hawkins accounted for Blue Maze on a day when Bengeworth Sports moved into third place courtesy of a Clements strike against Broadway Reserves.

Pebworth continued their recent revival with victory at Tescos thanks to a Foxall hat-trick, two from Robbins and a single strike from Hughes. The shoppers replied with doubles from Hodge and Kennedy.

Crowle continue to set the pace in the third division as they slammed nine past Sporting Theocs with Hatchett (3), West (2) and Haynes (2) among the scorers.

Eckington came from 4-2 down at half-time to score a late winner to win a game of 11 goals against the Golden Cross where Priest (2) and Warren (2) were on target for the winners.

Oddfellows Arms moved second in Division Two with Sears (2), Redding and Gardner on target against Defford and Besford for whom Lawson and Summers replied.

Bredon took the local honours at Tewkesbury Town thanks to goals from Diamond, Crilley and Bunce with Sollis on target for the losers.

Badsey Rec found the net eight times at Shipston - three of which were own goals with further efforts from Berry (2), Pearce, Jordan and Smith.

Upton Snodsbury completed a league double over near neighbours Peopleton to move into title contention in Division One thanks to goals from McLean, Wood and Croy.

Broadway United and Inkberrow shared two goals with Jamie Bostock on target for the former and Ace netting for the visitors. The game between Ambassador and Red Horse was abandoned when a visiting player suffered a broken leg.

The league's interest in Gloucestershire FA County Cups ended when both Moreton Wanderers and Mickleton Rangers crashed out at the quarter-final stage.

Willersey, Bretforton OB, Wickhamford, Cider Mill and Pinvin all progressed in the Evesham Hospital Minor Cup.
