FLAMENCO rockers Gypsy Pistoleros are set to taste the rock and roll lifestyle when they tour Spain with former Guns and Roses drummer Steve Adler.

The flamboyant band, which contains Bromsgrove based pair Lee Jones and Ian Walker, are set to play in front of thousands of enthusiastic Spanish fans when they support Adler's Appetite in gigs in Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia and Zaragotha in January.

The Pistoleros, formed on December 26 2004, have already built a hardcore fan base in Spain because of rocking renditions of traditional Spanish folk songs.

Manager Mark Shaw, also from Bromsgrove, believes the tour could thrust the Pistoleros further into the limelight.

He said: "We've toured in Spain before but this is time we're going to some big venues where there will be a lot of fans.

"Spanish fans are very supportive, they come for a good time and if they like a band they let them know."

The band will be performing in some large venues, including Real Zaragotha FC's Estadio La Romareda ground and the Madrid Arena.

They band also release a new album in Spain in January, which is set to be released in Britain in April.

Before leaving for the tour the Pistoleros play a warm up gig at Bromsgrove Cricket Club on January 13 (8pm start).
