SIR - Congratulations to Seamus Kelly regarding the seats in the park. Some years ago, I wrote to the parks department explaining that there were more grandparents taking their grandchildren to the swings in the park, and the only place to sit was on a low concrete wall which was extremely cold.
I suggested in a letter about installing benches near the swings - the last two had been vandalised The parks department responded very quickly and I am pleased to say both seats are still there. My grandchildren were about six and eight years old back then but now in their 20s.
