INFLUENTIAL point-guard Matt Collins is a major doubt for Worcester Wolves' big weekend of action.

Wolves could face Sunday's National Trophy semi-final second leg against London United at the University of Worcester (2.30) without Collins who has a suspected dislocated shoulder.

The city side, third in the table and level on points with leaders United, Worthing and Manchester, also have an important English League Division One home game on Saturday (7.0) when they entertain Kingston Wildcats.

So Worcester can ill afford to be missing former Coventry Crusaders player Collins, despite building a 38-point lead in the semi-final first leg.

An overall win would give Wolves' their first major cup final -- at the 5,000-seater Coventry Skydome on February 5 against either Reading Rockets or City of Sheffield Arrows.

Director of basketball Mick Donovan said: "Reaching the final would be a brilliant achievement. But Matt left the court during Sunday's game and is a big injury doubt.

"He's not going to train this week and will just rest it. He said that his shoulder popped out years ago and he popped it back in but we must wait for the doctor's report.

"Matt's a main man for us and losing him will hurt the balance of the team. The first five players are so settled now and Matt has been organising and controlling play all season."

American points ace Andy Harper, top scorer in the away triumph at London, stands by to take Collins' position in a line-up reshuffle if the 5ft 11ins point-guard does not recover in time.
