ONE of Shakespeare's most popular plays is to be restaged against the backdrop of a post apocalyptic society in a new production on touring at The Theatre, Chipping Norton.

Undoubtedly one of Shakespeare's best loved plays, Romeo and Juliet tells the timeless story of innocent love trying to exist within a world torn apart by conflict.

Long Overdue Theatre Company has combined state of the art lighting and an original score, as well as featuring the recorded image of Kenneth Colley (The Empire Strikes Back and The Return of the Jedi) as Friar Tuck, to create a show that is both visually stunning and emotionally heart-wrenching.

Long Overdue Theatre Company has established a reputation for the quality of its highly technical productions.

With its latest piece, it successfully blends technical ingenuity with a superb cast that shines through every scene, performing every word with passion and sincerity.

Whether you are a student, a teacher, a fan of Shakespeare or simply a lover of live theatre, this show is unmissable.

For school bookings there is a special price of just £5 per ticket, and the show is accompanied by a teacher's pack written by one of Hampshire's leading teachers.

The performances are on Wednesday, January 25 at 8pm and Thursday, January 26, at 10am and 1pm for schools only. Tickets are priced £10 and concessions £8.
