THE Evidence of the Rocks is the subject for the next open meeting of the Colwall Village Society, a talk by research scientist, John Payne. This meeting is at Colwall Village Hall on January 16 at 7.30pm and is free to members, £2 for visitors.

Colwall Primary School is to start a new recycling programme called Recycool. Recycool teaches pupils the importance of recycling and protecting the atmosphere, as well as teaching about enterprise.

Old mobile phones and printer cartridges which usually end up in landfill sites can be left in the collection box which is located in the entrance hall. If anyone wishes to get involved in this project and have a collection box at their place of work, which would benefit the school, they should visit www.recy cool.org and quote the school's number, 821523.

Recycool will send a free collection box, which will be removed free when it is full. Recycool can also be contacted by telephone on 08451 302050
