BENGEWORTH Lions are the new leaders of Division Two, winning four matches in a row including an 8-2 win against their main rivals Wyre Barbedwyre.

David Hudson Wood and Chris Pearce both won three games each for the Lions and Rachael Sellick won two.

Lions' other victories were against Bengeworth 49ers (8-1), Bengeworth Green (8-2) and Wyre Coils 7-3. Barbedwyre suffered another setback when they drew with Bengeworth Sapphires (5-5).

Bengeworth Sapphires occupy third spot with a couple of games in hand over the leaders. They managed to get two good wins but suffered a setback when they lost heavily to Bengeworth 49ers (7-3).

They picked up two vital wins over Bengeworth Green (9-1) and just narrowly beat Littleton Diamonds 6-4 with Matthew Neal picking up three wins for the Sapphires.

Bengeworth 49ers remain bottom but do have a couple of games in hand and were able to pick up three vital points with a 5-5 draw against Littleton Diamonds.

Stan Owen and Brian Gregory won two each for the 49ers with Sandra Wheeler picking up the other game to give themselves a chance of avoiding finishing bottom at the end of the season.
