THE Angling Festival which attracts thousands of people to Evesham over the August Bank Holiday is going to be bigger and better than ever this year. The usual three-day event based on the Crown Meadow is to be extended to eight days and will include the national Ladies' Premier Angling Championship and also the Junior Championship. The Junior and Intermediate Championship will be on Saturday, August 19, the Ladies' Championship on Sunday, August 20, the Shakespeare Individual Championship on Saturday, August 26, the Wychavon Individual Championship on Sunday, August 27, and the Midland Angler Team Championship on Monday, August 28.
