AN application to erect a 12.5 m telecommunications mast in Kidderminster has been turned down.
Applicant, 02 (UK) Ltd, had proposed to site the mast, with three antennae, on land at the corner of Habberley Lane and Habberley Road.
Wyre Forest District Council's planning committee, which met on Tuesday, received 15 letters of objection from neighbouring residents, who feared it was too close to their homes.
The application was rejected on the grounds it would significantly affect the character and the visual amenity of the area.
