RADAR began this fixture the better of the two sides and Powick were finding it difficult to string many passes together.

POWICK 4, MALVERN RADAR 0

The hard work of Simon Rea for the visitors was causing Powick problems, but with man-of-the- match Stu Hart in inspirational form, they were able to weather the storm.

Successive corners saw Powick begin to exert some pressure but efforts from Stu Hart, Nick Price and Stu Harvey were unable to breach the visitors' defence.

The crucial breakthrough came with 10 minutes of the half remaining when Dean Drinkwater coolly volleyed home.

Five minutes into the second-half, an excellent run and cross from Tim Lambeth saw Stu Harvey plant a trademark header into the top corner.

The two goal cushion inspired Powick who began to keep the ball more effectively, though the vital third goal was enshrouded in controversy as Lee Henderson drilled home from eight yards, despite claims of handball in the build-up from Radar.

The final goal came in the last minute when a strong run by Adam Soley saw him brought crashing down by the goalkeeper. Soley was injured, so left the penalty to Dean Drinkwater, who confidently stroked the ball home.
