THE campaign to open a doctor's surgery in Inkberrow has moved a step further.
A cutting of the turf ceremony has taken place, with Dr Stuart Paton, Worcestershire county councillor Clive Holt, district councillor Audrey Steele and parish council chairman Richard Hockenhall in attendance.
Karen Lumley, Redditch's Tory Parliamentary spokesman, who was also invited, said: "It has taken a great deal of hard work to get to this day.
"The residents of Inkberrow have waited eight years and now we can see light at the end of the tunnel.
"Let's hope we can see the surgery open as soon as possible."
