RESIDENTS and staff at a Redditch care home have been snuggling up for a national fundraising event.
Everyone at Brambles care home, in Headless Cross, will be taking part in the national "Hug-day Quiz" on Friday to raise money for Help The Aged.
Brambles is one of nine care homes run by Heart of England Housing and Care Ltd in Worcestershire competing against each other to raise the most money for the charity.
The company will award a grand prize of £250 to the residents of the home that performs the best as well as providing lots of individual prizes.
Hug stands for Helping Unite Generations and the national campaign aims to end the loneliness and isolation experienced by over one million older people in the UK.
Brambles manager, Margaret Hook, said: "We always have lots of activities here at Brambles. It's lovely to see our residents making a big effort to help other older people who may be less fortunate."
