BUDDING Kingsley College composers are looking forward to the world premiere of their work on Friday.

Young musicians from the Woodrow school have been working with nationally-renowned composer Dobrinka Tabakova and the fruit of one student's labours will see its first airing at a concert at Kingsley Theatre.

The performance coincides with the first concert of the Stratford-based Orchestra of the Swan's residency in Redditch, funded by the Arts in Redditch (AiR) Partnership and Arts Council England.

The youngsters have been helped by Orchestra of the Swan conductor and artistic director David Curtis and players from the orchestra.

Their pieces will be recorded by the orchestra on the day for the students to use in their exams and one will feature in the concert The Big K alongside other famous works.

The performance starts at 7.30pm and there will be a pre-show talk with David Curtis and Dobrinka Tabakova at 6.45pm.

Tickets, priced £7.50 (concessions available), are available from the Tourist Information Centre or on 65203.
