BROMSGROVE rider Paul Prince maintained his excellent form when he came sixth at the Evesham Vale road race.

Prince burst away from the main pack with a bunch on the second lap but could not match his rivals in the final sprint.

Wyre Forest CC rider Paul Carson finished ninth in the Welsh CA 25 mile hilly time trial on Sunday.

Carson finished the course, which included an arduous four-mile hill climb in one hour, eight minutes and 46 seconds.

Andy Convery was ninth in the A5 Rangers' ten-mile time trial on Saturday. Convery, the only member of the club to take part, finished in a 24mins and 49 seconds.

Steve Burns and Oliver Beddows finished the Walsall two-up 25-mile trial at Burton in side an hour. They were followed by Karl Davies and Dave Wood in one hour and three seconds.

Wood was the fastest Wyre Forest rider at the VC Sevale ten-mile time trial in Stoke, when he completed the course in 24 minutes and two seconds, followed by John Callaghan (24.24mins) and Mark Thomas (27.11mins).

Veteran Mick Gray finished the course in 29.11mins.

Alex Tinsley was fourth in the under-16s race at Darley Moor on Saturday and then completed Bromsgrove Olympique's 60-mile reliability trial, finishing in the front group with club riders Gary Bartram, Ian Connolly, Richard Pedersen, Nigel Williams and Martin Tinsley.
