IN reply to the letter regarding St Joseph's Home in Sambourne (Advertiser, March 22), you will find it had connections with St Mary's RC Church in Studley.
I attended St Mary's RC School from 1931-41, which was in the road opposite the church.
The nuns' convent was next door. Our headteacher was Sister Werberg.
I well remember the boys of St Joseph's being brought to the school for a preview of our Christmas concerts.
Also of sewing for the home in our needlework classes.
