REDDITCH manager Gary Whild has brought in three new players as United look to safeguard their Nationwide Conference North future.

The Reds entertain Hucknall Town on Saturday, the first of five crucial games in the run-up to the end of the season.

Damon Jarrett has linked up with the Valley Stadium side from Conference South outfit Cambridge City while 20-year-old midfielder Paul Bonar has arrived after being released by league rivals Hinckley United.

Whild has also agreed a deal with left-sided six footer Brendan Kelly who has been on the books of Eircom League side Dundalk.

But Reds are still waiting on international clearance for the highly-rated Kelly which could see him sit out the remainder of the season.

Jarrett made his debut in Monday's 2-1 defeat at Droylesden but Bonar had to be content with a place on the bench.

And Whild has revealed that long-term injury victim Chris Murphy could figure for the Reds before the end of the campaign.

The former Cheltenham Town and Stafford Rangers winger has been out with cruciate knee trouble since United's match at Northwich Victoria back in August.

Original estimates had ruled him out for the season but he has returned to training and could make his return in the run-in.

Defeat at Droylsden dropped Reds into the relegation zone and Whild will be looking for three points from Saturday's clash with Hucknall.

He will also be hoping to keep his full quota of players on the pitch - the match at Hucknall saw United reduced to eight players on their way to a 4-1 drubbing.
