A TABLE tennis star has smashed her way into a national competition.
Amber Perry, of St George's CE Primary School in Worcester, was knocked out in the quarter-finals of the under 11s national championships in Bristol, landing her in the top eight in her group.
The 10-year-old represented the West Midlands in the competition.
The event, which was split between teams of boys and girls, saw nine-year-old Michael Siket, of Worcester's Stanley Road Primary, finish in second place.
Headteacher at St George's, Steve Mills, said he was thrilled with the success of the youngsters, who both train at the school.
