Littleton 2, Mile Oak Rvrs 0
SATURDAY'S game was spoiled by the strong swirling wind, but both teams coped well with the tricky conditions.
The match started with a period of fairly even play with the home team attacking positively down both flanks.
Both teams continued to develop attacks but failed to threaten the goal and neither goalkeeper was made to work hard.
Towards the end of the first half Mile Oak came closest to scoring but it was Adam Steventon who broke the deadlock after good work down Littleton's left flank.
In the second half a fast break by Matt Staley brought a good close-range save from the Mile Oak keeper.
Neal Haines then cut in from the right and fired in a good low shot that was well turned round a post.
As Mile Oak pressed forward they earned a free-kick that was well saved by Tom Heath.
Following a Mile Oak corner the ball reached Steve Brown in his own half. He broke away down the left and slotted the ball into the visiting goal from about 40 yards as the goalkeeper was still running back from his attacking foray.
Littleton's next match is at home to Malvern Town Reserves in the Evesham Hospital Cup on Saturday, kick-off 2.30pm.
