THE once celebrated Kingfisher Shopping Centre palm trees are set for a return visit to their former home on Sunday.
Branches from the trees, which were removed from the centre in October, will be used in a Palm Sunday procession through the centre.
The Rev Pat Barford, vicar at St Stephen's Church, said they had been given the trees after they were felled and had distributed them around churches in the area.
She said members of St Stephen's and Emmanuel churches were planning to take some of the branches back into the shopping centre during the annual procession through the town.
"The branches have, of course, gone brown but they'll be having a return visit," she added.
The palm procession will pass through the Kingfisher Centre between 10.15-10.30am and will be followed by separate services in St Stephen's and Emmanuel churches.
