CHADDESLEY Corbett will unveil their new team manager this weekend - after rubberstamping the appointment at a committee meeting tonight.

With long-standing boss Martin Westcott stepping down at the end of the season, Chaddesley have been searching for an appropriate replacement.

And after being pleased with the number and quality of the applications for the Longmore vacancy, chairman David Yardley is convinced they have found the right man.

"We will be making an announcement very soon, it's just a matter of finalising one or two details," said Yardley.

"We always said we were keen to make a decision as soon as possible for continuity reasons to allow the new manager to talk to the players over the summer.

"In the end we've had some good candidates and it's come down to a straight choice between two, but we're sure we've got the right one."

Several Kidderminster and District Football League bosses are believed to have applied for the job, while former Bewdley Town keeper Mark Foster has also been linked with the job.

Chaddesley face their second fixture-free weekend and still have five away matches to play in West Midlands League Division One West.

Bewdley Reserves lost 3-1 to Wednesbury and visit Bilbrook on Saturday.
