STUDENTS from Wolverley High School will be making a splash with a charity car wash on Saturday.
Twelve pupils will be getting out the buckets and sponges in aid of Kemp Hospice as part of their work towards the Prince's Trust xl Award.
The 14 and 15 year olds have organised the event for the enterprise and entrepreneur section of the scheme and have also set up their own business, making and selling decorated wooden picture frames.
Once a week, the students, who need to complete five categories, which also include personal and inter-personal skills, world of work, a community-based project and citizenship, go to Kidderminster Youth House.
It is a two-year programme and the students plan to complete the award by next summer.
Connexions adviser and youth worker, Adrian Hobday, said they were looking forward to the car wash, adding: "It was the students' idea and they have done all of the organising.
"It is just a way of letting them see how a business works," he added.
The car wash will run from 9am until 5pm, outside the youth house in Bromsgrove Street.
