Both the men's 12-stage team and the ladies six-stage team finished first for Worcestershire, qualifying for the National Championships later this month.

The men's race features 12 stages, 8 x 3 miles and 4 x 6 miles, with the ladies running 6 x 3 miles.

Fastest stages on the day were: Men's 3-mile Steve Smith, 17-04, men's 6-mile stage Tom Kenderdine 28-14, ladies 3-mile Laura Kyte 18-17.

Kenderdine steamed around the hilly route, setting a new overall course record of 35-17 to leave Train 30 seconds behind.
