PARISH GAMES: Stone won the short mat bowls event in the Wyre Forest Parish Games - but Churchill and Blakedown lead the overall competition after finishing runners-up.
Six parishes turned out for the round-robin bowls contest at Gilt Edge Leisure Centre last Wednesday.
Upper Arley were third, Rock fourth, Bewdley fifth and Wolverley and Cookley sixth.
Overall standings: Churchill and Blakedown 22 points, Upper Arley 19, Bewdley 17, Wolverley and Cookley 13, Stourport 12, Rock 11, Stone 7.

Saturday, May 13, archery, 1pm, Arley Sports and Social Club.
