A MANAGING director from Droitwich will leave his briefcase at home and don a tutu when he runs the London Marathon later this month.
Mike Rudge, aged 43, of Willow Court, has never taken part in a marathon before and has literally run into a few problems while training.
Over Christmas he was suffering from flu. He then sprained an ankle and was also thrown off a horse and had to take two weeks off.
However, he was given an extra incentive to cross the finishing line on Sunday, April 23, when somebody offered to donate an extra £100 if he wore a tutu. The money will help him raise £1,000 for his chosen charity Children
With Leukaemia.
Anyone who wants to help Mr Rudge hit that target can sponsor him by logging on to www.bmycharity.com/

Another local man is running in aid of the leukaemia charity.
It's the fourth marathon for Steven Lewis, aged 32, of Scafell Close, Worcester, and the fourth time he has raised cash for Children With Leukaemia, a cause close to his heart because he has known people touched by the disease.
The signalman is also aiming to raise £1,000.
