MALVERN Joggers put out 17 runners in the Scenic Six multi-terrain race at Peopleton, near Pershore, on Sunday.
Tom Kennerdine (Kidder-minster AC) was the first of the 240 runners home in a time of 35.18. The Joggers' Andy Milton had a good run, placing 17th at 41.54. He was followed just 45 seconds later by Andy Blannin in 23rd place.
Chris Barker managed to take the prize for the first runner over 50 across the line, with a time of 50.12, good enough for 88th place.
First of the Joggers' ladies home was Sam Hammond in 109th place in 52.32.
Meanwhile, two Joggers in training for longer events elected to compete in the tougher Roman Trail 10-mile race in Gloucestershire. Jon Newey completed the hilly route in 1.07.38, giving him 10th place in the field of 341 runners, nearly six minutes down on the winner, Vito Graffagnino. Peter Tooke battled round the course in 1.32.35 for 197th place.
