UNMISTAKABLY, owned by Christine Banks and trained by Cath Williams of Vale of Glamorgan, was an impressive winner of the Lady Dudley Cup at the Worcestershire Hunt point-to-point at Chaddesley Corbett.

Partnered as usual by James Tudor, Unmistakably allowed fellow Welsh challenger Canon Bridge, seeking a 15th straight win, to make much of the early running.

But when he pulled up after breaking a blood vessel, Tudor allowed his mount to stride to the head of the competitive 14-runner field.

They drew steadily clear of the chasing Ballylusky, who fell at the second last fence, and recorded an impressive win in the pointing classic from Paddy for Paddy, who was 12 lengths back.

Veteran trainer Dick Baimbridge continues to saddle winners well past a normal retirement age and, teaming up with rider Claire Allen, he again found the winner's enclosure, scoring with Watchyourback in the ladies open and Crested Penguin in the restricted open.

Watchyourback seemed beaten at one stage when challenged by Paymaster and Claire Stewart, but it was the Claire Allen 5/4 favourite who triumphed by a head.

In a competitive Restricted Open, Crested Penguin stole the race by two lengths from the strong finishing Mossville, with the favourite Royal Gunner only third.

The season's leading jockey, Richard Burton, recorded his 21st win in the first division of the Maiden race aboard I'm An Optimist, while Hanley Swan trainer Andy Hobbs carried on his fine run with the win of Premium First in the Confined race in the hands of rider Adrian Wintle.
